FDNC works in partnership with impoverished rural communities throughout the region to provide assistance establishing income generation projects, support for improved livelihood and environmental conservation efforts, girl child empowerment initiatives, and youth sports.
Purchase a breeding goat for an orphan or vulnerable child in one of our rural communities. Through breeding, this goat can provide milk and sustainable revenue for the child and family.
Buy vegetable and fruit tree seeds for an entire village, consisting of eggplant, tomato, spinach, beans, nuts, cabbage, collards, and others. This provides for a more well-rounded nutritious diet, as well as surplus produce which can be sold at market.
Install a small rainwater catchment system and water tank for a community school. This will allow students to access clean drinking water during the school day.
Purchase a beehive for a rural community that will provide years of sustainable revenue through honey and propolis production, and other bee products.
